2009 Academy Award Nominees

2009 Oscar Nominations The movie - The Curious Case of Benjamin Button directed by David Fincher witch is about a man who is born in his 80s and gets younger by the day, instead of older just leads all films with 13 Academy Award nominations. It garnered nominations for Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Adapted Screenplay, and Best Supporting Actress. This was announced today by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. The English drama Slumdog Millionaire director Danny Boyle, which has won four Golden Globes on January 11th, follows with ten nominees. Just a few surprises for these so much awaited nominations: put aside the astonishing absence fromthe movie The Revolutionary Road, directed by Sam Mendes and starring Leonardo DiCaprio , the list takes again almost the same nominees as the Golden Globes 2009 and Bafta 2009 nominations.
