Avatar Movie 2009 - James Cameron’s avatar is one of the most anticipated and long awaited movies. James Cameron waited this long so that the technology would be ripe enough for the movie to be shot with the specialized 3D effects.

The story takes place in a special setting in the Pandora. Pandora is a small moon with special life forms known as nevi. Pandora is very rich in minerals. The people of Pandora are very piney and the air in Pandora is toxic for humans. The other part of the story takes place in the actual world. The story revolves around the character Jake Sully played by Sam Worthington. He is portrayed as a paralyzed war veteran who is willing to take in the avatar the human/nevi hybrid and is linked with the humanoid through his mind.

He goes to the land of Pandora as a human agent. In the movie humans are only interested in exploiting the Nevis of their enormous mineral wealth. The Nevis fight back the humans in an attempt to save their world from exploitation and extinction. Meanwhile humanoid Sully meets a nevi woman and attracted by her beauty falls in love with her. The story goes on to show if he would be truthful to the humans or join the Nevis to fight against the humans. The quest will be revealed once the film hits the theaters.

The following is some of the main characters of this movie. Sam Worthington is going to be playing Jake Sully. Sigourney Weaver is going to be playing Dr. Grace Augustine. Michelle Rodriguez is going to be playing Trudy Chacon. Zoe Saldana is going to be playing Neytiri. Giovanni Ribisi is going to be playing Selfridge. Joel Moore is going to be playing Norm Spellman.

The music is by James Horner. The cinematography is done by Mauro Fiore. The editing of the movie is done by John Refoua and Stephen E. Rivkin. The release date of the movie is on the 18th of December in 2009. The running time is estimated to be more that one hundred and fifty minutes. The studio for the shoot was Lightstrom Entertainment. It is going to be distributed by 20th Century Fox. It is produced by both James Cameron and Jon Landau.

James Cameron had written and directed the Avatar. He has also written and directed many other movies. Some of his movies are the Terminator, the Terminator 2, Spider – man and Dark Angel, the Titanic and The Alien.

This club highlights books that are chosen exclusively by Oprah Winfrey herself. She began her Oprah's Book Club in the mid 1990s. She picked a freshly published novel for her viewers. She had them read it discussed that book each month on Oprah BookClub.
